The work is the point
Meetings are how you get to know people. Doors, phones and clipboards are how a county actually turns. Here is what that looks like with us.
Block walk
Saturday mornings, a stack of doors, a partner and a list. Nobody is asking you to be a salesman — you are asking neighbors two questions and writing down the answers. It is the single highest-value thing a volunteer can do, and it is how you learn a precinct in an afternoon.
Phone bank
An evening, a phone and a script. Good for the weeks when the weather is impossible or you have an hour and no car. We run these together so it is not a lonely job.
Event crew
Setup, tables, signs, food, teardown. Parades, county party events, candidate forums, the fair. Unglamorous, absolutely necessary, and the fastest way to meet every person in Grayson County politics at once.
First things first
Are you registered to vote?
Check your registration, find your polling place, and see what is on your ballot at the Texas Secretary of State's official voter site. It takes about a minute and it is the one thing on this page that matters whether or not you ever join us.
Registration in Grayson County is handled by the county's voter registrar. Deadlines are set by state law — generally 30 days before an election — so do not wait for the last week.

Grayson County Republican Party
The county party runs the primary, the precinct conventions and much of the volunteer work in Grayson County. We are a separate, independent club — but a Young Republicans club that ignores its county party is a debate society, and we would rather be useful.
